Will 245 40 17 fit a W124

Will 245 40 17 fit a 300TD with out hitting the fenders? Does any body know the right size 17 tires in W124

I was wondering if AMG star rims 17 with tires 225 45 17 can fit on the front of a 1990 300te... It fits on the rear.... Also could the rear take a larger size.??

It would highly depend on the rim offset. Assuming the offset are good (for a 124), the 245 tire width would only fit the rears.

I've done this experiment, and unless you've got a 500E, the fronts will look ridiculous.

Is 225 45 17 the right size for the front? or 215 45 17?

225/45/17 is correct all around, with the proper offset. The proper offset MB wheel for that tire size would be a Monoblock I (Not II). Good luck finding OE Monoblock I's. II's will make it look like you've deployed your pontoons for river rafting.
