very specific wheel size question for a w123

Wheel Sizes: 2(16X8.0) ET20 & 2(16X9.0) ET15
Bolt Pattern: 5X100X112
Center Bore: 67.1MM

Can I make these work on my w123 wagon? if So, what spacer or? would I need?

Basically I found another wagon that has the stance and look I would like with mine.

His rims setup is listed as,

penta 8and9x16, suspension -90 front -70 rear

No mention of offset etc.

Based on that info it isn't a matter of spacers, I don't think. Spacers are normally used when you go with wheels with a larger ET number (bigger backspacing), such as those off newer MBs. These have a smaller backspaces than OE spec, which means more of the wheel is already protruding outward from the hub. The pair at ET20 are close to the OE spec, however, and the other two are pretty close.

I think it's the width that is the issue. I would be concerned that the pair at ET15 and 9" are too wide for the wheel opening with a standard suspension setup. On some cars that can be compensated for by 'rolling' up the fender lip but I have no idea if that is the case on a w123.

For sure I have seen pics of German cars with uber-wide wheels but the question is what spec they are.

In the pictures, the guy running the 9" in the rear, seem to be tight, but fit. I love that look. Not sure what was done to to his drop as it's very specific? Spring cut?
