Need some non-Mercedes help
Hello learned ones!
My aunt (78 years old) has an 88 Mercury Cougar with wire wheels on it. They're bolt on with 50 spokes and the tire size is 215/70R X 14. I'm guessing that the rims are 14X7 or so... The part I need help with it this. She's lost one of the chrome center caps that cover the hub and lug nuts and I'm trying to locate a replacement. The brand label on the remaining wheels says "McLean Wheels Inc. Anaheim, Ca." on a red/burgundy background. It looks to me like the cap is approximately 5 inches across and reasonably flat. I did a Google search for McLean Wheels Inc. and didn't come up with anything. Does anyone have any ideas on how to locate something like that or a suitable replacement? I'm stumped. THANKS IN ADVANCE for the help, she will certainly appreciate a replacement if we can find one.

Check the yellow pages and call some bone yards. There are even places that only sell hubcaps and related items.
Good luck! |
