White walls??

Has anyone found any whitewall tires out in the market? They are hard to find and I'd like to get a set for the 240D.

I personally have yet to see a European car that looks good with white walls. My .02.

I've thought they looked presentable on dark colored W108/W109 cars.
Chrome bumper W114/W115 were also ok.

Of course in addition to whitewalls, you also needed the chrome hubcaps to pull it off.

Whitewalls on alloys were the automotive equivalent of white belts and shoes.....

Older Rolls look appropriate with whitewalls, so long as they are period wrt width, that is no gangster 4" whitewalls on late 60's cars.

I have the hubcaps. I ordered new black walls. I'll keep a look out anyways because I want to turn the skinny whites into wide whites.

Call This Guy

Of course his name is....you guessed it...Don. Not a forum member, but does the tires for all my MB's. What you want are called "mustard & mayonnaise" tires.....obviously you want the mayonnaise ones. He'll tell you what your options are. 614-354-7067. Tell him Dave Johnston said to call him. He will chuckle.
