Looking to make a warranty claim this week on Michelin Defenders
After 2 1/2 years and 37k miles the outside edges of my tires are in bad shape. The worst one was on the driver's side, and I eventually moved it to the passenger side. I rotated the tires three times myself, and had an alignment done on a front end that I rebuilt before I got the tires. The car always tracked straight before and after I got the Defenders. I'm afraid that since I have no documentation of the alignment or rotations, the tire shop is going to block me from getting Michelin to honor their warranty. I've read some posts online that say Michelin will honor the warranty, but that they only give you a brake on a new set of tires, they don't do any direct replacement. Any advice on how to approach this? Thanks

I call this an alignment issue not a tire issue. Are the rear tires the same brand / model as front? What does the rear wear look like? What tire pressure are you running and what is the max PSI on the tire sidewall?
Are these tires marked "mount this side out " ( some tires have tread that is rotation specific for water rejection. ) |
