w123 lug bolt, metal v.s. alloy rim

Regarding a 300D 1979.

Are the lug bolts for the metal rims the same length

as the lug bolts for the 14 X 6 ET 25 alloy rims?
The alloys are the later 'quasi' bundt cake style.(1982-3)
not the original budt cakes.

Both rim types have the same standard size rubber.

I did a search but it was inconclusive.

I tested a reguler lug bolt with the alloy rim and it protruded
about 1cm (same as the diameter of the bolt) out the back.

I suspect that alloy rim bolts ight be a tad longer besides being
silver painted.

color does not matter to me.

Any experiences out there?

Happy Birthday Denis.

Thanks mini me.

Denis

lug it to me

Thanks CaptKirk, " we cannot change the laws of physics"

that is 'logical' even by my human side.

I'll order new lugs from fastlane -Phil.

Best Regards.

Denis

they are 2 different size bolts. DO NOT SWITCH BETWEEN THEM.
If you want to switch wheels you'll need to get 20 new bolts coresponding to that rim type
