Need Longer lug bolts for my 81 300SD ....
Have an 81 300SD
just got a nice set of Wheels came off an '05 S430 ...with new Goodyear tires on them. Both are the same bolt pattern ( with just a different offset) and they do fit and look good. My issue is the SD bolts are too short to safelysecure the wheels. They actually do thread but onlly like 1/8th of an inch so before I mount the wheels I need to get longer bolts I imiagine by a good half an inch. Anyone have any suggestions for me here or any for sale? Thanks! Austin ( S. Florida )

Austin85, call the Parts Department and ask what size lug bolts are specified for a 2005 S430. That's the size you will need to ensure proper thread engagement and seat contour. Hopefully, your rotors accept the same size bolt diameter as required for the S430.

He has another thread running in the regular tech forum and is getting the info for the proper custom bolts to match the ball seat on the 221 wheels and the M12 hubs on his 126. |
