I have a 1988 300E, lowered with Eibach pro kit springs with Bilstein Sport Shocks (the yellow ones). I also have 225/50ZR16 tires (on 8Jx16" rims) on all four corners. When there's no one in the car (except myself), then everything is fine. However, when I have people sitting in the back, I think the rear tires get too close to the fenders and they rub like crazy. I don't think this is safe and I think it really affects handling. Do you think it's because the shocks/springs are not stiff enough? Any suggestions besides replacing the shocks/springs, again?
Also, I know I've asked this question before...but can anyone give me detailed instructions on where and how to "cure" my really really negative camber in the rear (because of the lowered springs and shocks)? I won't be doing the actual camber adjustment, however, I would like to be able to tell my mechanic how to do it, since my mechanic only knows about repairing/replacing stock stuff, not modified stuff.
