new wheels for 190E 2.0

Hi all, i am new here (from Ecuador).
I got an used aluminium wheels (15x7j offset 25) but the original ones are steel 5X6j offset 49!. Could the offset big difference damage the car?

Thanks for the answers!

There are many online tyre and wheel calculators on the internet

This one's quite a good one =>

Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com

Putting your information into the calculator it says the wheels will be sticking out by almost an inch so it is possible you will have trouble on the back at the least...

I used the wheels from an early w126 they have the same offset 25 on a w201 they didn't damage the car they just look weird and depends what size tire you use they might rub the smaller offset brings the wheels outside
