Hi guys,
I just read about Phil's trouble. Out of interest (I'm a Sydney Law student), is there not some kind of Consumer Trade Tribunal in America to which people can turn in the even of buying crappy goods from the net? Also... Phil, let us know how it turns out will you? If the U.S. equivalent consumer affairs department is anything like that in Australia (where the consumer almost always wins) don't be afraid to go to court! If your correspondence with this man shows clearly that he agreed to sell you genuine AMG rims for a specific price, you can easily get a court order for him to perform the contract to that effect (ie. he'll have to buy you the wheels and sell you them at the agreed price, taking as much loss as necessary. Best, David. Sorry this post was meant to be appended to the "EBAY WHEELS" thread. My apologies to Luke. [This message has been edited by David (edited 05-14-2000).] |
