There is no 2000 S600 in the US. There is no way that wheel will fit a W124.

I agree, I just had a question about the S-classes that are available in Canada. I though you guys have the same models as us (S430 and S500 Long Wheelbase) along with an S430 Standard Wheelbase. As far as the S600 (even though its a 5.8 v12) isn't available in the North American continent yet (at least I thought.) and would be a model 2001. If you guys have them at the dealers now in Canada, please let me know. Thanxs.

- 2001 C-Class - Maybe (if 190E sells)

Hi guys, I did not see the car at all, the wheels are take-off at a dealer, they told me they will fit the newer S-class as well as the 2000, I am wondering do they have the same offset as the W124?

Thanks

The W124 E-Class is around a 35mm offset. The new S-Class is somewhere in the 50mm's. It won't even come close.

nope...there are no S600's in the showrooms in Vancouver...so I guess there aren't any S600's in the Mercedes-Benz of Canada dealerships around Canada either...

I was just checkin, cause we are on the witing list for the 2001 S600s. The wheels are probably from a 99 S600 or a 2000 S-class (w220) but either way, wouldn't fit the w124s without spacers and longer bolts which is something I would avoid.

Most of the info I have is from the MB Enthusiast's Page ( http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/9323/index2.html ) and the International MB page ( http://www.mercedes-benz.com/e/default.htm )

Their really isn't that much difference between the S55 and the S600 (5.8 V12) besides a slight increase in hp and torque. However the power should be more spread out throughout the rpms. Off the line 0-60 are about the same if not a little slower due to the lighter wieght. It is said that the S600 has the same suspension as the S500 with the Sport options (body molding, wheels) that is to be made available to the other S-classes. Also the S600 will have more techno things (possiblities: like the ABC, Keyless Go system, and night vision.) Preliminary data has been posted, with 0-60 about 6.0 or under, but nothign concrete yet. It only costs us $1000 to be placed on the wainting list, and can be fully refunded at any time. So we have been placed on the new S600 and C320 waiting lists. We are thinking about selling the ML430 just so that we can get the 2. Who knows what we end up with, every time we think about it, we get more and more confused.
