17 in tire and rim

Would a 17 in tire and rims fit on a 99 c230?

The 202 AMGs used 17x7.5 et37 and 17x8.5 et30 stagger stock (at least that's what my original monoblocks are). The fenders were rolled but not pulled to my knowledge. It is a close fit on the width if you want usable suspension travel. My C36 rubbed with 255s so I had to go back to 245s. My friend has 18x8 square on his car and it seems to fit well.
