SLK rims on a 190E

I really like the stock 7-spoke SLK rims. Will they fit well on a 190E? How much do they usually go for? I have not found any used ones in the classifieds yet. I know the dealer has them for an insane price, so I won't be going there. Does TireRack sell replicas for a decent price?

My friend has a set on his 300D 2.5 turbo. I would think that they would fit a 190E just fine. He actually has another set that hes selling.

Email me and Ill find the price.

Post YUP !!!!

They should bolt right up ! However, remember that the stock wheels are 7" front & 8" rear. I am going to put the SLK AMG's on my 16-vlv.

Cossie,
I believe Chiragp had some on his 190E at some point, even sent me pics, as I recall. They look great, but I'm not sure if that 8" wide wheel in the back won't require fender rolling. Also limits your rotating of tires.Something to consider. If your still interested try Ebay. I've seen at least 3 sets in the last 2 months.Good luck!

SLK rims on 190E

well I will include a link to a few pictures...I would recommend 16x7s all the way around. 8" will deff rub in the back (mine did) w/o it being lowered and 215/50/16s. (They looked great with the 16x7s!!!!)

I've tried a helluva lot of wheels :p I really liked how they looked, but couldn't get them to fit over the 93 400E calipers. And now with the 95 SL 600 rear calipers, I barely get my 94 E420 wheels to fit

Good luck.

I have a friend that wants to get those rims for his '93 5-speed 190E 2.6, but he decided to forego them 'cause he said the offset was too little and cause them to stick out a bit. I haven't seen them myself though. I don't know if they rubbed or not...i don't think they did, they just looked kind of rollerskate-ish.

They'll probably work on a 16v 'cause they're flared a little more than the stock 190Es.

depends on the offset, stuffed 225/45-16s on 16x8 ET 34 into my modestly lowered 16v w/o rubbing. Bear in mind that there isn't any extra room under a 16v...the flares are just bolt-on and provide a little more coverage for wider wheels...i think

Well the 16x8s are ET 30...so the 4mm I guess makes the difference.

Cool SLK RIMS

I have them on my 1991 190E 2.6 5-Speed. I love the way the car rides. 16x7 front & 16x8 rear. Have to be careful with tire sizes though, but not too bad, I have 205/55/R16 rear & no rubbin atall . I you are interested, I might sell them. Email drmspce@aol.com
