Exclamation White-letter tires on an ML...Sacreligious?

My original OEM tires on the ML look as if I got about less than 10K left on the tread...time to shop for tires (after just getting a new set for the W124 last month ).

I always liked white letter tires. Am I treading on "non-Euro" territory here?

Any thoughts? Am I off my rocker?

Euro, shmeuro!

Do what you like! I for one think RWL looks great on old American muscle cars and some trucks. On the ML? -perhaps.

Try playing around with Photoshop or the like and see how it turns out.

I think it wouldn't look very good. the ML would look better with black wall tires.

I like the pirelli scorpion tires, or the michelin LTX tires. the michelins are very nice, they run probably around $150 per, but they last for at least 50k miles. When I had the michelin LTX on my jeep, I managed to get 65+k out of the tires.

I don't think he meant white walls (as what you'd see on a '77 Caddy Coupe de Ville), but raised white lettering against the black side wall. Then again, if you don't like white on your tires, then there ya go!

it depends on the car. I unserstood the white letters part already. The michelins have white letters on some of the versions of the LTX, so he could always have them mount them, look, and flip if he doesn't like it.

Why stop at raised white letter tires? Why not raise the back, put a rebel flag on top and call it General Lee?

All kidding aside, YOU pay for it and drive it, I think you should put on YOUR car what YOU like.

My $0.02,

Well he could always add hydraulics and 13" gold and chrome wire daytons. LOL

But seriously, look for a tire that has white letters and a black wall as well, then you can flip them if you don't like it.
