Polishing 15" '86 420SEL rims?

The original paint is trashed, wondering about weather to repaint, chrome or polish my rims?
Unfortunately, the local plating place won't chrome aluminum rims...amateurs, I guess?

Would appreciate any posts as to what might look best on my 420SEL......and, in particular, where I might send my rims out to be chromed or polished?
P.S.- As for the look, no, I do not have chrome fender trim on my MB.

What color is your car? IMHO, it makes a big difference as to what'll look good.

Remember that chrome does poorly vs. road salt, so they have to be cleaned weekly or even more frequently if you drive them in the winter. As to polishing or refinishing, RennSport in GA was cheap, fast & did a nice job. I think I paid about $80/wheel to have mine (8 X 16 8-hole) refinished; I had them done OE.

I have the business class blue w/gray interior. As for your refinish job, did you polish or have them repainted? Any phone numbers for the Georgia company you used?
As for road salts, Montana uses gravel instead of salt....don't know what's worst, cracked windshields or rust??? LOL!
