oh will the questions never end?!!!

Yep, im back at it. Alright, so it turns out that these sweet 18s I want come with 225/40 rubber in front and 235/40 rubber out back. Now, im breaking the bank picking these things up, so new rubber is out of the question. Can I get the back to work without destroying my car? Subman did his with 225 rubber, so will the extra width make rear inner fender rubbing a nightmare?

continuing with the questions... what is the equation for translating static wheel weight to rolling wheel weight and hp draw? These wheels weigh 49 pounds with rubber on them, and im afraid my poor inline 6 just won't be able to make it up hills...

finally.... I found some Ace group lola 17x8s. They are offset at 35mm and the bolt pattern is 5x112. They are meant for audis, but Im pretty sure they will work on my car. Am I correct? They only cost $125 a piece and weigh in at a light 21 pounds. The 18s weigh 25 pounds and draw a measly $175... so that is also an option, but if I had my choice, I think id take the 45 aspect ratio over the 40, as the 40 leaves a rubberband like piece of tire wich I don't really like....

Id also like to apoligize to Luke, if I had the money, I would defintely do business with tirerack...(if I get the lolas, ill be buying tires from you guys)

Thanks in advance for all of your replies! (Im getting excited here... I got $500 for my SAT score and another 500 for a server I built, add that to the fact that I have gotten my catylitic converter dilemma solved, and im one happy camper)

for tires, check the kuhmo ecsta 712. Very nicely priced, great handling, and quiet. I have them on my car, and they are wonderful to me.

exactly my thinking, plus in tire comparisons on tirerack, they matched up nicely with some michelin and bridgestones for performance etc.
