Are Borbet Type E rims AMG replicas? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

In looking at pictures of Borbet Type E rims, it appears that they are AMG 5-spoke replicas, down to having something engraved in one of the spokes where the ///AMG usually is. Can anyone confirm this or offer opinions on the Type E vs. the AMG 5-spoke?

I am not looking at buying the AMGs because they are more expensive than I can afford, and only come in 17's, (I'm getting 16s). I just wonder how close to the AMGs the Type E's actually look, if anyone has any knowledge.

The Borbet Type E is not an AMG replica. The Borbet wheel will not accept the Mercedes wheel center caps.

Thanks a TON for that picture! It may not be a replica, but it looks pretty darn similar, and I like the look for a price that I can handle...that picture is great, thanks again.
