Hi everyone, I am new to the list and have been reading everyday for the past 6 months without a question till now.
1. Do anyone on the list have any experience with the AMG Monoblock replicas from Bekker Imports. I am looking to buy a set of 17" from them, I would love the original but the price is a bit more than I want to spend. What size and brand tires should I buy for this size rim
2. When doing a suspension upgrade on a 560SEL with self leveling, should I change everything over to after market products (AMG, Lorinser, etc) shocks and struts or should I stick with the original equipment.
3. When doing this conversion what parts should be changed shocks, struts, springs and what else.
4. Is changing rotors (front and back) and brakes pads (front and back) hard to fo on this car.
5. I also have to change the front ball joints (little knock when I hit a bump), is this going to be hard.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

The monoblock replicas from Bekkers appear to be made by RH Alurad of Germany as the sizes and offsets are the same and the price is the right ballpark.

RH wheels are also available at www.precisionauto.com (Precision Auto Designs) or through King Wheels at 1-800-455-2755. RH Alurad's German website has full technical details of their rims at www.rh-alurad.de.

As you may guess, I am a great fan of the RH wheels...for the price they are top quality, German made, TUV tested and approved. I'm running 17x8 rims in front with 245/45-17 tires and 17x9 rears with 275/40-17 tires.

Good luck with your shoppiing.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

PERCISION AUTO!?

I'm sorry, I just find them to be a bit...pricey. I have always been able to find the same products cheaper somewhere else. Quality stuff for the most part though.

As for Bekkers, I have dealt with them and found they are flexible on pricing and willing to match or beat everybody on price.
Example: I was shopping for the AMG sideskirts for my SLK.

Dealer = $1400.00
NR Auto = $1250.00
Carsmetics = $1070.00
Racing Zone = $1040.00
Wheel Power = $925.00
Bekkers Imports = $850.00

I believe the quality portion of your question was addressed in a previous post. Just for the record, my salesmans name is Tony at ext. 16 and the owners name is Jos at ext. 20. They also have a bulletin board at their website, just click the button "shop talk" on their splash page. Happy motoring! Paul

I'm sorry Luke and Dean. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was attacking anybody. We all just work so hard for our money I hate to see anybody spend too much money for any product, after all, that's what fosters competition. Of couse, the ONLY place to get GENUINE AMG rims is through Luke @ tirerack, accept no substitutes! Paul
