'93 300e tire / wheel advice wanted
hello,
i just recently purchased a 1993 300e which will need tires within the next 5,000 miles. after looking at the tire rack website, i really like the amg aero II monoblock wheels but it seems as though the smallest size is 17". what do i stand to gain or lose if i choose to use these wheels as opposed to the stock 15" wheels. will these fit correctly without any chance of rubbing? my use is about 75% freeway driving so i do not want to give up much riding comfort, but i do like to throw it around evey once in awhile. in addition, any suggestions on tires for either the stock 15" or amg 17" would be appreciated. thanks in advance, rob |

I would try e-mailing two members who have put 17" wheels on their cars - Ashman and Hi-Power. I may be wrong, but Hi-Power may have put 18" wheels on one of his W124's.

I found no noticeable difference in ride on the 17" over the 16" wheels I was running before. the ride seems better to me for some reason.
