my 1985 500sel since it was new has made a loud humming noise from the tires and at at low speeds it makes skewilleng nioses like the tires are shaking any reasones or tips

check the alignment for the squealing problem. For the noise issue tires made in '85 were quite loud compared to tires made with the technology of today. Also, as a tire ages the rubber used to construct the tire does get very hard which will cause excessive noise.
