Since it has 8" rims in the standard 16" 8-holes, would a 245/50/16 fit?

In the rear, yes, no problem whatsoever. However, up front I believe the 245's will not clear the shock tower. Still, you could run a 225/55/16 front, 245/50/16 rear staggered setup.

I run the 245/50/16 Michelin MXX3's on my stock 16" wheels with no problems.

245X50X16 are a VERY marginal fit as I tried it. With the wheels fully turned there is less than1/2" clearance from the shock tower which means potentially rubbing under hard cornering. I opted for a staggered set-up with 225's on the front.

When running 245 section width tires up front (as with the 17x8.25 EVOII's with 245/45/17 tires) the wheels are of slightly different offset to allow for the increased width. The stock 16x8" rims are designed to have 225/55/16's.
hope this helps...Lee |
