Tire Pressure for Storage?
Does anyone have any suggestions on tire pressures for a E500 245's all around that is just in the garage and maybe driven one's or twice a month? Besides the battery...is there anything else I have to do for storage?
Thanks, Jay

If it were mine, I'd keep it at 45-50 PSI cold. That said, I would NEVER drive on them that high. This is ONLY for storage purposes to keep them from flat spotting, which low profile tires like to do. Especially non-Michelins.

Well lets say you have Zrated tires which last 15k miles. If you drive it 2k miles a year, you would expect like 7 years of life, I think thats a little much, maybe 5 years of life. You could put the car on jack stands or even get another set of like junk wheels and put them on there while it sits and put the nice wheels back on before you drive it, but I can understand thats a hastle. I would look at the stock tires, and find the load rating at the PSI mercedes recommends, then I would transfter that info to the bigger wheels and do the same thing so that there is an equal distrobution of weight over the tires to the ground. I called michelin and they helped me with the load index for my tires.
