Talking Yoko vs. Yoko!?

Hi,
I'd appreciate it very much if those who have experience with this particular brand and/or tires would give me advise on which one is better and in what areas is one superior to the other if at all.

Yokohama AVS INTERMEDIATE vs.
Yokohama Avid V4

Both seem to be selling in the same price range, so most probably price is not an issue here.

I am also open to hearing other brands recommendations if in the same price range or even slightly higher.

Thank you all.

why are you trying to compare an apple to an orange ???

AVS Intermediate: A high performance summer only tire with good dry traction and decent wet traction. It also has very good steering response.

Avid V4: A high performance all-season tire which by design sacrifices some dry and wet traction to go through snow and ice. The design of this tire also offers some performance in colder temps but, lacks the dry grip, wet grip and steering response of a summer performance tire.

Is your car driven in colder climates? Avid V4

Do you live in an area that nevers sees snow? AVS Intemediate

which tire better suits you personal needs ????

Speaking of comparing apples to oranges, the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the subject was a point by point comparison of the cost/benefits of a Yokohama tire vs. Yoko Ono.

Dry road traction? Go with the tires.

Need your band members alienated? Yoko Ono

Handling? Close, but I'd give it to the tires.

Protests in bed resulting in haircuts? Yoko Ono. You don't want to try this one with the tires, believe me.

Looks? Tires, definitely.

Economy? Tires. You couldn't begin to afford Yoko Ono.

Singing? Take the tires. At 60mph, on the right road, they can sound really sweet. There is no right road for Yoko Ono.

Mileage? Yoko Ono wins hands down.

Hope this helps.

I didn't have much luck with the Yoko Avids. Quality problems and not a great riding tire.
The AVS wear out fast and get noisy as they wear. I think there are better choices than the Yoko's.
