Tire opinion
In the spring I plan to upgrade from my stock wheels to an 18" flavor- and although I have decided to go with a AMG wheel to keep the car looking like a Mercedes- I am not sure what to do with tire choice. My primary concern is a soft/quiet ride as possible on an 18" wheel. Second on my list is tire wear, I realize that soft tires obviously wear faster-but I would like ultimately find a tire that is soft with respectable tire life. Snow and Ice are of no concern as these will be for spring and summer only.
any opinion welcome. |

I hope this response does not come across the wrong way.
If you have any desire at all for ride quality, 18" wheels are the wrong choice. You would be much better served with 16's or even 17's. There is very little sidewall in a 16" tire, there is virtually none in an 18". If you are wanting any ride quality at all, I suggest that you reconsider your wheel/tire size. Good luck, |

the best tire for your needs ( ride qualtiy / tire life ) would be the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso .... my second choice would be the Dunlop Sport 9000
