SLK aftermarket rims on 300e

I'm looking to buy a set of ATS aftermarket rims off a gentleman's SLK. The wheel size is 16x7 with a 1" lip. Tires are 225/50/16 x 2 and 205/55/16 x 2. Does anyone know if they would not fit on a 300e without knowing the offset? Also, what range can the offset be in to fit the car? Thanks

I have a set of 16x7 clk wheels (7 spoke) that I tried to put on my 89 300e. The fronts were ET37 and the rears ET30 (which is the stock setup for SLK's I believe. They have 225/50/16 tires all around and I have experienced slight fender rub in the rear when hitting dips in the pavement. This might be due to that fact that my suspension has never been replaced in 13 yrs and also I have a subwoofer in the trunk weighing aroun 50 lbs or so, so that might have something to do with it too. I am looking for wheels with at least ET40 to eliminate the possibility of rubbing (the stock wheels are 6.5" wide with ET48 so with a 7" wheel the ET should be >40 I am guessing (should check with dealer to be sure). I hope to ahve my new wheels by Thanksgiving or Xmas at latest so I will post about the success of the new wheels when I get them. Once I swich the tires, the wheels will be for sale.
