I've read several post concerning various tire sizes, but it is not clear to me if the 215/55/16 will fit, does anybody use 215/55/16 on their 300/400E car?

The key to your answer is the wheel offset. If the wheel has adequate offset, either of these tires should fit, although the 215 might cause interference somewhere.

I THINK the offset needs to be ET35. There was a post by ChiragP about six months ago that cleared this up. You might search his replies in the Wheels and Tires section.

Thanks Larry, I believe the offset for the Mercedes 210 wheel is 41, if a 35 offset is required for the 215.55.16 tire size, this tire size may present problems as you stated. Since I've have just had the vibration corrected on my car, I need no new problems. Again Appreciate all advice, going with a Michelin tire.
