Will these work?

Will wheels from a 1997 E420, with 215/55-16 size tires, fit onto a 1993 300E (W124) without any problems. Will it require different lugs?
Thanks

the wheels should work, not sure ont he lugs, but the wheels are 16x7.5 with an offset of 41 if I am not mistaken, so they should fit fine. Tires may be a bit tall. you really want a 205/55/16 or 225/50/16.

THe 225's may rub, depends on the car really, some rub some don't.

Yes the wheels will work fine, the tires will be a bit tall. You need the lugs from the E420

Thanks guys. I kind of figured on the tire size. Well at least the tires currently on the wheels are half worn out, so I can just burn thru them and get 205/55-16's. And I will get the lugs today from the E420.

Got the wheels installed form the 97' E420. No rubbing, rides great, and handling response is much improved with more rubber on the ground.
