tire pressure question for Luke please

I recently purchased a 1999 C230K and this weekend put a set of Dunlop Sport A2's on it. I don't have a Mercedes manual - could you please advise me as to proper pressure for these tires. Thanks

Look at the decal inside your fuel filler door. There you will find the MINIMUM tire pressures.

Good luck,

Thanks Larry

I noticed you emphasized that those listed tire pressures were the minimum. Are there recommendations from you or others regarding the C230 and the Dunlop A2's as to a different (higher?) pressure to maximize performance, ride comfort, etc? By the way Larry, I have been reading this forum for approx one month and really appreciate your informative and well-written contributions to the board.

those are actually the recommended tire pressures but you can very form them in order to achieve the ride quality/handling that you want

Luke is correct. I have found that for most of my cars, raising the rear pressure about 5 pounds over the sticker and the fronts about 3, gives me better tire wear and more predictable handling at the expense of a little stiffer feel.

Good luck,
