FS: 16" 8 hole wheels and tires

Here it is LAST CHANCE. I really do not want the hassle of putting these on Ebay but I need to sell these rims. They are Genuine MB wheels. 16" 5X112mm with a 51mm offset. They are very nice wheels. They are all straight and true with no major dings, scratches or curb rash. The tires are Goodyear Eagle LS 225/60-16 with about 60% tread remaining. I have many more pictures. $200 for the set of 4 with center caps.

Although I have recently replaces tires on my '92 400e, I am potentially intereested in your wheels - it wasn't clear what the wheel width is 7, 7.5 ? Secondly, do you know if wheels with this offset with 225s will rub without rolling fenders on a w124? Thanks.

Wondering if these will fit on a 82 300SD?

If not, anybody have 16" wheels and tires for sale that will?

Thanks
Fred

Waybomb,

These wheels will not fit the 126 chassis. you need a 30mm offset.

The offset is wrong for the W124 chassis. 7.5x16 needs an offset between 35 and 41, closer to 41 the better.

These seem like W140 wheels.

Exclamation one other issue: 12mm vs. 14mm bolts

one other fitment issue to keep in mind: (i almost learned this lesson the hard way!)

many MB (such as my 202, 96 C-280) use a 12mm bolt for wheel attachment.

i am told that many of the bigger wheels (such as on "S" class for example) use 14mm bolts.

so... a wheel with clearance holes for 14mm bolts would "fit" to a hub with the 12mm bolts, but the wheel could shift on these smaller bolts.

i do not know how big a problem that is, but it could not be what you would want by design.

hope that helps! - benton in atlanta

ps- i am looking for a 16" solution for my 202 as posted earlier.

Are there any 7.5x16 MB wheels with this proper offset, or do I need to look for aftermarket? I would like to use my factory 8-hole 6.5x15 for snow tires and get some larger wheels for sporty all-season tires.

Yes, MB did make the 7.5x16 with an offset of 41 (ET 41).

The "umbrella" looking wheel of the W210 E-class is the correct offset for 7.5x16, or you can order or find in Europe the 8-hole in 7.5x16 ET41 again from an early W210 E-class.

Could these wheels (from the original post) be used on a 126 if spacers were used? Also, are there any factory MB wheels used on later model cars that can be used on a 126? Or are my options limited to the aftermarket?

vwbuge: a few questions:

Do you still have these for sale?

What kind of car did these wheels come from?

Also, whereabouts in PA are you?

Thanks, Bob Roe

Robert,
I see you are in the Lehigh Valley. A short drive from here. (johnstown, PA) If you win the wheels, I will be happy to meet you half way to save on shipping charges.

I believe they did come from a w124. I think they also fit a w140 and r129.
