Wheel size cross reference chart?

Is there such a chart? Lots of people ask, "Will a wheel from that car fit this car?" It would be nice to see a chart that says something like the following (just an example, information not accurate or complete):

Car: W124, 300E/E320, 1993-1995
Stock size: 15x6.5 ET 41
Stock style: 8-hole
Lugs: 5
Max diameter: 18"
Max width: 7.5" front, 8.5" rear
Off set range: 37mm-43mm

Is there some table that exists like this? It would be great if the people using this forum could simply look up their car by chassis and model and find all the limits to their wheel choices. That way, when a wheel of any manufacture is being sold, and all the specs are provided, the table can be consulted by a novice to see if these wheels will work on his/her car. Does this exist?

Thanks,

Example: I am considering getting different (or additional?) wheels for the E420 I just purchased. There is a thread in the Parts forum for stock 8-hole 16x7.5 wheels from a 1992 300SD (W140). Would these fit my 1994 E420 (W124)? If there were a chart, I could just look it up without bothering all of you.

Anyway, if they do fit, then they would make great summer wheels and the stock 8-hole 15x6.5 wheels would be good for the winter.

Thanks,

No comments from the members? Is this an old issue I'm bringing up? I searched and didn't find anything regarding a chart or cross-reference guide for swapping wheels between vehicles. Couldn't something like this be created, or are there too many variables?

Bump.

I have the same question. Anybody know of a cross reference like this for wheels?

If there is no cross reference such as this, is there somewhere I can find out what the pertinent specs are for my 560SEC? If I knew that at least, then I could match it up with wheels I'm interested in.

Yeah, I can't believe there were no responses. It seems like something pretty useful. Even if there was only a place to look up the wheel information for specific models, that would be very helpful. Maybe there is somebody on here now who knows where such information might be found.

You just highlight the URL at the top of the page when you're on that thread. Then hit "edit," and then "copy." Then you go to your new post and paste the link to it. Once it's posted, it becomes a hypertext link.

When I searched those exact words, this was the only thread that came up.
