I would like a little better handling performance out of my car (using the stock rims if at all possible).
It looks like my 2 best choices are the Michelin HX MXM (245/55/16) OR the Continental CH95 245/50/16).
Can anyone let me know the pros/cons of these 2 tires, or make recommendations for any other tires that will fit my rims and W140 body?? Will a 255/50/16 tire even fit correctly?? I am basically looking for more aggressive looks and cornering out of this car. I would like flatter cornering while retaining at least some of the ride quality.
I do not drive in snow, but good traction in wet or dry conditions is important.

Thanks, Barry

Get the Michelin Pilot HX MXM in 235/50/16. Awesome tire. Contis suck. Avoid them. You'll hate them.

Won't the 235/50's be a little too small, diameter-wise?? I'm sure they will lower the car a bit AND help the off-the-line acceleration, though.

Wouldn't 245/50's be better??

Thanks, Barry

235/50/16 is stock size. You probably have the wrong size on now.

I have the Michelin MXV4 Plus tires in 235/60/16 size on now. Those are not the correct size??
Maybe that's part of my problem.

Thanks, Barry

Sorry typo. 235/60/16 is correct. Stick with that size and get MXMs.

The Continental CH95's are all-season tires and do not hold a candle to the Pilot HX MXM's. I can not say enough about how much better the Michelin is in this case.
Although, I do not think Michelin's are the answer to every tire question (LOL) the HX MXM's would get my vote 235/60-16

Thanks, Luke

Thanks for chimeing in, Luke.
If I go for the MXMs, should I go for the 245/55x16s, or use the stock 235/60x16s??

Keep in mind, my last car was a Corvette, and while I realize that a W140 is NOT going to be a Corvette, I kind of miss my old car SOMEtimes

Thanks, Barry
