Tire Pressure Question

I replaced the rear tires on my '99 C43 a couple days ago, and the ride is significantly harder - unpleasantly so, and the CD player is skipping constantly (which never happened before). I am not certain if air was added to the front tires as well by the tire shop.

Not knowing much about such things, I wonder if anyone can advise me one what role tire pressure plays in this, and what the tradeoffs are between a better ride and handling, wear, etc.

I appreciate the assistance.

Which tire and size did you get, and how much air do you currently have?

The tires are Dunlop SP9000 ZR - 245/40/17.

I am going to check the tire pressure Saturday and will advise.

Thank you for your response.

What is the mfg recommendation pressure for front and rear? If the ride is that harsh, you are really over inflating them which will also cause premature wear of your tires.
