EVOII wheel questions, pictures? sizes?

Hey guys, i'm looking to get EVOII's for my 1992 500E, but have a couple questions.

I like the titanium finish the best, but they don't make a larger width than 7.5 in it. Whereas if I get bright silver EVOII wheels I can get 8.25 on the back and 7.5 on the front. How much bigger of a difference would it really make if any at all?

I would love the 18" version but from what I understand they can't be imported from japan.

does anyone have a picture of a car with bright silver evoII's and one with the titanium finish? Thanks!

The ones in Japan can be imported to the USA, last time I checked, which was about 2 weeks ago. Get someone who speaks Japanese to call them and it may prove to be a bit easier.

You really don't want to put 7.5" in front on a 500E...though it has been done.

Send me your e-mail...I'll send you pic of my car with the 17"x8.25" polished version....and the 8.25" used polished set is still for sale...with or without the Pilot Sport tires.

FWIW, titanium version is just painted...not real....if you didn't realize that already.

Shanta,

You know you can't make a comment like that without answering a few questions.

1. Did you find out how much they cost?

2. Are they readily available?

3. What are the exact dimensions (18" x 8.5" ?)

I emailed them three weeks ago with no response, of course I wrote in english. If the price is right I know some friends who speak Japanese fluently!

Thanks for the help.

HDPE,

I'd stick with the 8.5" wheel with for the 500E. Your currentl wheels are 16 x 8" so you certainly don't want to drop down a size.

The 18x8.5 is in stock and the price is 93000 yen which is about $930.00 or so depending on the Yen rate.

The 18x9.5 is out of stock at the moment but they will have some the first part of this month. The price is 95000 yen or about $950.00 or so depending on yen rate.

Holy sushi...that's expensive for a 1 piece rim...isn't it?

One could buy 4 new polished 17" ones for a bit over $1000.

That is exactly why I did not buy them. I am working on getting some Multi-piece old school MAE's, which I really like that are about the same price.

Now a multi-piece MAE would be worth those bills....

If its the rim I think it is..it'll look shuuweet on a 500E/E500. Is it the rim with the lug cover?

They are discounted and not available in the states but I found some abroad.
