will these fit?

will wheels from a W124 go onto a W126? 15X6.5 OE wheels

Probably too much positive offset.

W126 cars, depending on model, come with rims from ET21.5 (21.5mm positive [inward] offset) to ET30, but W124 cars are likely to have an ET# much higher than that, and therefore require spacers to fit on a W126, and spacers are not without complications, besides the fact that good ones are EXPENSIVE. You should be able to find the ET# forged into the back of the rim somewhere.
