BBS on w123..... will it work??

I am very interested in instaling a set of BBS RC's in 16inch/7.5in size on my next w123. Can anyone tell me if they will fit? do they come in the right offset?

Hi!

They have 35mm Offset *I think* .... and 16x7.5 you're right.
I guess if you could 'fix' the offset by adding spacers. However, I'm not sure if it's gonna rub against anything. I guess what you could do is go to a wheel shop and have them try those wheels on.

Tires should be 205/55/16... but I think you could use 225/55/16's in the back (think 500E )

If you manage to put them on.. remember.. sharing is caring

thanks for the help Holson, its great to hear from someoneon this message board! LOL i tried posting the Q a while ago, but didnt get much help or advice. I really think they ( the BBS RC's) will look very stunning if they end up working out, but for now I have to really concentrate on finding a new w123 Turbodiesel since my old one was unfortunately totalled. Thanks for the word! By he way, your 300CD is SOOOOOO nice, dont ever think about sellin it!

Thanks for the kind words Veloce300DT,

whenever I look at it all clean and shiny I just can't think of selling it really...

Anyway, I have always loved BBS on 123's.
My dream wheels for the 300CD would be a set of BBS RS (the original old ones)

This style.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2402021745&category=33748

too bad they are hard to find in great condition in the right offset.

Good luck in your search for a 123! They are plentiful but finding the right one is a different story

My friend has 18x8.5 ET32 BBS RC wheels and I put them on my w123 car.

Tire lug nuts for a 1989 560SEL

Need to get (20) of these. The ones on the car now recess so much, that you can't even see them. If you can help me out with this, great

Just get spacers to make the appropriate 25mm of offset.

with 205/55/16 in front an equal diameter in rear would be 225/50/16.
