you can safely go with an 18x8 using a 235/40-18 tire size

Okay, Luke...

How about this scenario. I have a '99 CLK 320 Cabriolet. The next model year (2000) Mercedes brings out the hotter '00 CLK 430! Of course, it has the MUCH better looking AMG wheels.

I'd like to invest in those types of AMG wheels and do a "plus 1" upgrade to the car.

My other car, an '02 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon, has an amazing set of Michelin Primacy on it, which I really love the feel of. I'd like to do the AMG wheels and Michelin Primacy package.

Can this be done?

Thanks for your help.

the AMG wheels .... can be done no problem .... but the Primacy tire wich, is a touring summer only type tire, is not available in performance tire sizes. There are many choices in tires in the sizes you would need

225/45-17
245/40-17

you can search for tires here

there are also many wheel choices

you can search for wheels here

if you only want AMG wheels look here
