I currently have a 1998 E430. In a few weeks I'll be putting in a set of Bilstein Sports and H&R Sport spring. I was wondering if anyone out there have a set of Opera Design's OP1. I'm going with 8.5x18 and 11x18 for the rears. I wanted to know if it might be too low for those wheels size.

Turbo,

I just mounted a set of O.Z. Opera 1's on my '99 E430 today. It's a base car (e.g. not a "Sport"), so I wanted to retain a fairly conventional look with a +1 17" fitment and no lowering. I'm biased... think it looks very nice as a very subtle mod -- a nice alternative to AMG. I was concerned that with 18's I would need to lower a bit to get the right fender gap look, but if you want 18's I am sure the style would work equally well. The wheels appear to very nicely made -- make sure you ask for the MB center caps.

Greg

PS -- Tire Rack shipped 'em right out with a set of Dunlop SP9000s. One of the Dunlops is a bit square, TR is shipping another right away. {Quite responsively I might add.)

PPS -- Donnie, if you are reading "Perfect Performance" in Roswell, GA is a friendly, quality align/balance shop. Thanks for the tip.

Greg,

I'll second that recommendation for Perfect Performance. David Usher is a good guy. He has done tire/wheel work on my cars for a couple years now with no complaints. Interesting guy to talk with as well...

To Turbo, You will have to have the fenders rolled extensively to fit those sizes. Good Luck.
