Tires/Wheels/Rims question for 420 sel
Question for you wheel experts. My 420 has 7 inch rims. One (maybe two) are damaged. These rims were only used by Mercedes for 1 1/2 when they transitioned to the 6 1/2" rims. As a result, the used market is flooded with 6 1/2" rims and is very limited for 7". Would their be any negative impact if I replaced two existing rims with 6 1/2" rims using the same size tires all the way around?
Thanks for your replies. greg |

Try aaarims.com
They should have a full selection of proffessionally remanufactured MB rims. Their customer service is sometimes sub par (they arent the best with getting the phone or returning messages promptly), but their product is very good, comes with a warranty, and is reasonably priced.
I have used them before. Personally I would be very apprehensive about buying used rims sight unseen. Too many potenital problems that are not obvious until you get the tire mounted, and the wheel on the car..... hope this helps, George
