Weird handling ! Need help.
 

Just removed my winter rubber ( 195/65/15 ) and installed my brand new 225/50/16 tires, mounted on 16 x 7.5" rims. The whole package was purchased from Tire Rack.
This is a C 230 with 30 k miles on it.
When driving down the raod, it seems like some little gremlin wants to point my wheels in different directions. I guess you could refer to this as " wandering ".
Tire pressure is set at 28 F & 32 R.
If anybody has some good suggestions on how to troubleshoot/rectify this, I would sure like to hear them. Thanks

I have 225/50 - 16 Yoko ES100s on my C230. This size wheel and tire series 'tramlines' more than the stock 15" wheels and tires, more so with aggressive and sticky treads than with conservative touring tires. On mine, while it is more apparent than with my 16" all seasons were, it is just barely noticeable on some sections of road. Going from 195/65 15s will accentuate the difference in road feedback even more. Also, did they do a real good alignment and spin balance the wheels on the car? What kind of tires did you install (Performance, Touring, or ???)

The tires on the car right now are Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. They are a directional tire, as you probably know.
I had the balance checked, on a Hunter GSP 9700, and one was found to be out by 1/2 ounce.
I rotated them front to back, and have very minimal vibration.
I will need to get the alignment checked this week. I realize the "tramlining" effect will be magnified with this size of tire, but hopefully it can be minimized with a good alignment by the dealer.

also a couple of pounds more air in the tires would also reduce your tramlining issues ...say 32 front and 35 rear
