AMG Monoblock II replicas
Does anyone have any good experience with those AMG Monoblock II replicas made by Intra A or Alutech or ???
I like the look of the AMG monoblock II, but I want them in a diamond cut finish (NOT silver). Any opinions would be appreciated. jrmd01@yahoo.com

If I remember correctly I think fellow member Dean had good results with his replicas. Contact him and check out his website. He doesn't have them anymore but you can see the pictures of the monos in his picture gallery.

similiar to yours but in a diamond cut finish
Dear Mattman,
I'm looking for something like yours, but in a diamond cut laquered finish (the finish on your wheel's "lips"). As I mentioned in the earlier post, I really like the chrome look, but from what I've read on this forum I shouldn't chrome the rims cause I'll just have problems later with it peeling. (I'm not sold on the silver finish.) What brand is your AMG monoblock II replicas? How much were yours and what's your experience with them? jrmd01@yahoo.com

Mine are made in Australia, I am in NZ so my brand and price probably doesn't mean much.
Personally I would go for factory Monoblock II's in 18x8 and 18x9. I believe that you should be able to get a set for about $1700US. Matt. |

I had 18x8 monoblock replicas on my W126 made by Intra, from Performance Products. They had a silver finish, and were great for the year I had them before selling the car. Some advice though: Make absolutely sure you get the right offset when buying any wheels, especially if you decide buy from Performance Products. They gave me the wrong offset, causing rubbing problems; I didn't know the offset was wrong until it was too late to return the wheels.
