'86 420SEL.....driving in Vegas...which tires?
Da Tuna Boat needs new shoes!
Been riding on Pirelli Sport Veloce's in Montana...they're OK, got crappier with age! Now live in Vegas....read all the availible posts....hard to decide! Yoko AVS-V Rated vs Firestone Firehawk SZ 50 EP vs Michelin? All new suspension parts, track rods, upper & lower bushings, etc. Engine mounts look a little dry...got 106K on the Odo, thinking about replacing them? Any thoughts on the tires and engine mounts? What about "tire-on" "wheel-on" "Hunter" balancing? My dailey drive involves some 10-20 mile, 70-80MPH, freeway runs with a lot of in town, under 50MPH, stop and go traffic. Would like a smooth , quiet ride! Also, a sporty look would be nice....damn ugly OEM rims! Maybe go to Alloys to improve looks and heat dispersal? 15" look so small in the fender wells! Luke, Lee and others....any feedback would be greatly appreciated! |

the SZ50's would offer excellent ride quality and performance .... those would be my selection of choice .... as far as the other items .... if they're broke fix 'em
remember 2 things: WD40 Duct Tape if it moves and shouldn't use the duct tape if it should move and doesn't use the WD40

Thanks for your input, Luke!
What about rims? Go up to 16" for a better ride and look ? Any pix of S Classes with nice wheel/tire combos? Anyone? |

I think 16's would be a nice upgrade for your SEL
you can search for wheels here
