Easiest way to ship Tires and/or Wheels
Luke, Could you enlighten us on how to ship wheel/tire combos. I always get tires (alone) shipped from Tire Rack and they're just bundled.
Can one put round cardboard covers over the sides of the wheel/tire combo and ship without a box? I've never purchased in this configuration but may ship a set out soon. If so, which carriers allow this? Recommendations on shipping wheels alone? I'd probably use a suitable box and line it with the 2 inch thick foam insulation that is sold at Home Depot in 4x8 sheets. Any thoughts or other tips?

when shipping wheels with tires already mounted we use round pieces of cardboard on the front and rear of the wheel along with some padding to protect the face of the wheel ....
FedEx, UPS & USPS all allow this type of packaging when shipping wheels alone you need to double box them
