This is definately a matter of taste. They both look good. I have the 5 hole 97-98 e420 replica an love the way it looks. Its up to you

the classic 8-hole version has a larger "face" than the 5-hole (or 6-hole, for the 124/201), with the flat surfaces extending all the way to the edge of the rim.

this means that given the same wheel diameter, the 8-hole gives the impression of a larger wheel size.

the 5-hole looks really neat and crisp, but i find that somehow the 8-hole blends better with the 124/201 creased body style.

the 8-hole has a flatter face that is easier to clean, but the 5-hole has 3 less holes to clean (!), and the holes are larger and more accessible.

for aerodynamic nitpicks, the 8-hole's flatter face should generate less drag, IMHO.

I own both...tough call. I always go the easier-to-clean route, though, 'cuz ANY wheel looks better clean!
