225 45 17 on 300E

I was wondering if 225/45/17 tires on 17x7.5 et35 wheels would fit on a non lowered 1986 300E. Would they rub? too wide? Any help would be great.

tire approx 1.2" wider than stock 195. if ET is same, tire is .6" closer to all suspension componets. im sure its been done.

if you didnt already, do a forum search using "225 tire 300e" (or similar) for additional info.

or, call luke at TR on monday. - benton
