Hello,

Will factory 15-hole chrome 15" wheels off a 1990 300E fit on a 1984 300SD? The person I am buying them from says they will fit. He's a 2 hour drive and I want to make sure that at least OE wheels from one mercedes will fit another. Also are OE wheels on a 300E 15"x7" or 15"x6.5"? He has 215/60R15 tires on those wheels.

I have 14"x6.5" imitation 15 hole wheels on my 300sd now. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nolan

Forgot to add:

Will the wheels off the '90 300E clear the grease cap on the front hubs? What are the offsets for my '84 300SD and does it matter?

Thanks again..

They don't fit. Wrong offset. Will not clear suspension.

I've read that wheels from 1996 and newer E320's, E420's etc will fit the 126's, at least the sedans. Is this true? Do I need to use the E320 lugs?

My car has 15" wheels which were previously on my 83 SD. Recently though, my shop had to rethread the lugs and the female part of where the thread into (brake rotors?) and now I'm mysteriously missing one lug. They also mentioned that three of the four wheels had no MB part number visible. These were repainted by the Ford dealer that sold me the car; 14 months later no chipping. The wheel that didn't get repainted is an OEM wheel. Strange. Can painting obscure the part numbers or do I definitely have replicas? Thanks,
