I have a w126 84 300SD. I've checked out the tirerack wheel selection specifically for my 84 300SD and the wheel selector gave various size AMG chrome wheels that will fit my car. Some 16x7, 16x7.5, 18x8...etc. To make a rim such as a 18x8 fit, it would have to have a smaller ET offset wouldn't it? Stock is ET30 for a 14x6.5. What ET would the 18x8 wheel have?

Thanks,
Nolan

Call Tirerack, tell them which wheels you're looking for and they will give you the correct offset for your particular application.

For an 8" wide wheel, ET20 is the lowest offset without any interference problem. I use both ET20 and ET24 wheels (summer and winter sets) on my W126 for years.

Yes, do call Luke at Tirerack. I spoke with him directly and now my '95 E320 (124) is sporting 16" Monoblocks and riding (and looking) like a champ.
