I would like to firm up the suspension with H&R springs but have heard from the dealer that this can in some instances cause serious complications and will negate the warranty. Anyone run into problems with adding aftermarket springs? Does anyone know of a shop in the Dallas area that would be able to perform the upgrade?

i have spoken to lots of people using H&Rs and they love them! the springs are designed for the 320 i have been told, but i have seen several 430s with them. because of the added weight with the 430, the front rides a little lower than the rear. using thinner spring pads in the rear will even that out. with 19X10" wheels and 256 tires, the rear fenders will have to be rolled i believe. this spring is a very high quality product and is approved by the german watchdogs for use in germany. i can steer you to a pic if you want to see what they look like on a 430 with 19" AMG wheels. very nice.

If you want a firmer ride and do not want to void the warranty upgrade to the shorter firmer progressive rate springs from the new CLK55 AMG. Check with www.statusimports.com for availability.
