I am looking for suggestions for a tire suited for the 230SL.

tire size...

Since its a fairly old model, I'm not sure many people would know the tire size off hand, if maybe you could post the tire size...you might get more feedback.

Good Luck.

The tire size is 205/70HR14. The H speed rating is no longer available.

Sumitomo HTR 200

I'm assuming A/S isn't much of an issue on your car. If so, Sumitomo HTR 200's are incredible for what they offer. And the price!! IF all-season is an issue, then post back.

A/S is not an issue for winter driving but wet handling is an issue since the car is driven alot in the spring summer and fall on trips of 300 miles rain ir shine.
A lot of those miles are on 2 lane Ohio roads with a lot of passion and enjoyment.
