Luke - Sumitomo or Yokohama?

Luke,
Time for a new set of tires ... wheels are 18x8.5 and 18x10 Carlsson 2/6's. I'm debating between the Sumitomo HTRZ II's and Yokohama AVS ES100's. I plan to do some autoXing and maybe a track event or two. Which would you recommend?

Also,I'm currently running 235/40, 265/35 ... was thinking of going to 245/40, 275/35 - will they fit? Any downside to doing that? The car is a 90 500SL. Thanks. Aaron

I would recommend the ES100's over the HTR Z II's for your application and yes the 245/275 combo would work

Thumbs up

Thanks, I was leaning more towards the Yoko's after reading the test results on tirerack.com. You'll get the call when I'm ready to order. Thanks again! - Aaron
