Hi,

I used them on a 300D in Alaska. I lived 50 miles form my work in Anchorage and drove all over on weekends playing rock and roll as my second job. I never put snow tires on because these tires worked so well.

I highly recommend them.

I found this on NewsScan Daily re Nokian tires. It isn't just the new cars that are getting technically complex!

TALKING TIRES
Finnish tiremaker Nokian Renkaat has developed intelligent tires with
microchips installed in each wheel so that the tire can communicate to the
driver's mobile phone information about the tire pressure and temperature.
Future tires will also provide warnings about tire-wear, aquaplaning, and
slushplaning. Although no extra installations are needed within the car
itself, the car's cellphone must use Bluetooth wireless communications
technology. (Reuters/San Jose Mercury News 23 Oct 2000) http://www.mercurycenter.com/svtech/news/breaking/merc/docs/024023.htm

Hi. I use Nokian Hakka-1's on my '90 300E, my '88 300E, and my '88 190E2.3. I wouldn't use anything else in the winter -- I'm even planning to put on Nokians (though not the Hakka-1, of course; rather, their LT snow tires) on my newly acquired GWagen! I'm a long-time (since their old NR-09) Nokia customer for snow tires (I likewise stick to Michelin and Pirelli for summer tires).
